Must read for users
1. Keep it dry: If saliva, sweat or other liquids flow outside the tube and are not cleaned in time, the liquid will enter the tube from the gaps or
outer screens outside the tube, causing internal circuit failure. This failure is not covered by the warranty.
2. If the equipment fails, please do not disassemble or modify it without permission, otherwise you will not enjoy the warranty service within the warranty period.
3. Wipe it with a soft cloth or cotton towel after use to prevent sweat from corroding the keys.
4. Avoid falling and bumping. The electric blow torch is an electronic product with a plastic shell on the surface and is not drop-resistant. After use, put the hair dryer in the bag or stand it upright to avoid falling and breaking it.
5. Prevent the instrument from falling into water or other liquids. If it does, shut it down immediately. Repairs caused by humans are not covered by the warranty.
6. In humid weather, moisture-proof treatment should be done and placed in the bag after use. You can put some desiccant in the bag.
7. Rinse your mouth after eating before playing to avoid clogging the pipes.
8. Keep your fingers as clean as possible and do not play when there is water or sweat.
9. If there is too much saliva when playing, it may be that the mouthpiece is held too deep or the way of pronouncing the sound is wrong.
10. Avoid shaking the EWI with force, which will cause the water inlet of the sensor and the built-in parts to loosen.
11. If it is not used for a long time, it can be charged frequently. Prevent the battery from being unusable due to power loss.
12. Don't wait until the battery is completely empty before charging. Frequent power loss will affect the battery life. When charging, you cannot use mobile phone fast charging to charge, use the configured cable to charge.
13. To replace the mouthpiece, first unscrew the fixing screw. Do not shake it hard when pulling it out to prevent the bite plate from being broken.
14.High temperature protection: Do not place this product in high temperature, fire, sunlight or battery-disturbed environment.
15. Note: Fast charging is prohibited.
What is Evi Electronic Valve Instrument?
The Electronic Valve Instrument (EVI) is a unique and innovative electronic musical instrument designed to replicate the playing techniques of brass instruments, particularly the trumpet. Here are some key points about the EVI:
Invention and Design:
The EVI was invented by Nyle Steiner in the early 1970s. Steiner, a professional trumpet player, designed the EVI to provide a familiar interface for trumpet players to play a synthesizer.
Playing Techniques:
The EVI is designed to mimic the fingering of a trumpet, allowing brass players to use their existing skills to play synthesized sounds. It responds to breath pressure, vibrato, portamento, and pitch bend, offering a high degree of expressiveness 165.
MIDI Integration:
The EVI is capable of producing a wide range of sounds through an electronic protocol called MIDI. This makes it versatile in various musical contexts, from traditional orchestral settings to modern electronic music .
Expressiveness:
The EVI is noted for its expressive capabilities, rivaling that of traditional wind instruments. It can produce sounds of many different instruments and even emulate the sound of a full orchestra.
Sister Instrument - EWI:
A sister instrument to the EVI is the Electronic Wind Instrument (EWI), which is essentially a saxophone-style version of the EVI. The EWI was developed around 1990 and is more commonly seen due to its ease of play .
Usage in Music:
The EVI has been used in various music genres, including jazz, classical, and film scores. Notable musicians like Michael Brecker have used the EWI, which shares similar technology with the EVI .
Adaptation and Evolution:
The EVI has evolved over time, with different manufacturers producing versions of the instrument. The original version was made by Steiner-Parker, the company founded by Nyle Steiner and Dick Parker in 1974 .
Playing Range:
The EVI has a wide playable range, similar to that of a piano, covering seven octaves. This allows for a broad spectrum of musical expression .
Applications in Film and TV:
The EVI has been used in many major movie soundtracks and TV shows, contributing to the natural and expressive sound in scores.
Current Models and Technology:
Modern EVIs often come equipped with advanced features such as wireless MIDI transmission, allowing for greater freedom of movement during performances.
The EVI represents a significant step in the integration of traditional wind instrument techniques with electronic music technology, offering musicians a powerful tool for creative expression.
